In celebration of our 25th anniversary, we’re powering the closing panel at the KPMG Gibraltar eSummit on 15 June, titled ‘Evolution of the Industry’. This follows on from our highly successful Leaders and Legends panel series.

Featuring some of the most well-known and respected names in the industry, this lively discussion, chaired by Micky Swindale of KPMG, will reflect on how the industry has changed over the last two and a half decades, the evolving regulatory landscape, ESG strategies and diversity in the workplace.

Kristian, our CFO, will be opening the session, which will see a power-player line-up take to the stage:

  • Shimon Akad, COO, Playtech
  • Julia Allison, CRO, Games Global
  • Mark Kemp, CEO, DAZN Bet
  • Kane Purdy, Managing Director (UK), Bally’s Interactive
  • Phil Walker, UK & Ireland Managing Director, 888 William Hill

The following topics will be discussed:

  • Greatest area of change in the industry over the last 25 years and what impact that change has had on organisations and how they operate today
  • How organisations can stay on top of regulatory requirements not only in new and emerging markets, but also in those already established and where changes are being introduced
  • How the inconsistency between the range in attitudes to regulation and the level of oversight required vs consumer choice impacts regulatory and commercial approaches by operators
  • Which markets have had the greatest positive impact on the industry and why some markets may have not met expectations
  • The biggest challenges in serving a truly global sector and how organisations have innovated or pushed boundaries to overcome them
  • How the industry is committing to ESG and what strategies or programs are in place and what are current risks or opportunities
  • The biggest lessons the industry has learned from the past 25 years and how this can be used to ensure responsible, sustainable growth for the next two and a half decades
  • How organisations in the sector can drive positive, lasting change in diversity, equality and inclusion, and the pitfalls that need to be avoided

The session is being recorded and will be available to view as a webinar via EGR on 27 June. Register here
