Continent 8 Technologies showcased its revolutionary Cloud Backup product at a Festive Breakfast event in the Isle of Man on 5th December. The event was held at Salt Bar & Kitchen, nearby to Continent 8’s global headquarters and recently expanded data centre, and was attended by a number of the Island’s business leaders.

Following an introduction by Continent 8’s Roberta Castle the presentation delivered by Stephen Trimble covered a number of the key issues with traditional tape backups, the growth of data globally, and of course introduced the Cloud Backup product to the audience.

The solution was pitched as a new approach to backups and provides a feature-rich, low cost backup solution for IT departments focused on data protection. The platform is highly secure, scalable and enables data on any device at any location to be backed up to a secure data centre.

Following the presentation, the question and answer session covered a number of topics and included a number of ‘deep-dive’ technical queries, indicating that the presentation was well received and the product is being considered closely by a number of the invited businesses.
